02. Where can I buy Marc Shaiman sheet music?
You can purchase a few of Marc Shaiman's pieces at Musicnotes.com, including: highlights from South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut, the song "A Wink and A Smile", Hairspray, Tin Pan Alley, The Addams Family and more. If they don't have it, it's no longer in-print or it doesn't exist.

03. Where can I get the song, "Dream Of Me", from the movie 'Get Over It'?
This is a question I get a lot -- too much, in fact. There is no sheet music available for "Dream Of Me". The song is available on the original soundtrack album, and is performed by Kirsten Dunst. The album is in limited availability at Amazon.com. back to top

04. Where can I buy this CD?
If a certain score by Marc Shaiman was commercially released on CD and is still in-print, you might find it at Amazon.com.

06. I want to be in Hairspray
Sorry, but Marc Shaiman is not responsible for casting Hairspray. Don't laugh, this question has come up more than once! Instead, you can apply for a possible audition by submitting a photo and resume to:

Casting
Attn: HAIRSPRAY
145 West 28th Street, 12F
New York, NY 10001

Please note, I'm only supplying this address. I am not connected with the broadway production of Hairspray and I don't have any additional contact information besides the above address.

07. I want to send Marc my new demo. Where do I send it?
Generally film composers, and most musicians, songwriters, singers and performers do not accept demo tapes. They fear litigation and crazed psychos! Marc, I believe, is no different.

08. I want to perform on Marc's next score
Marc usually records in Los Angeles with American Federation of Musician union players. If you're a part-time clarinet player, you unfortunately cannot perform on an AFM recorded film score. For more info on the AFM, visit their website. back to top

09. I'd like to use some of Marc's music for my film, website, TV show...
Licensing film music for your project is a long and complex process that I am not qualified to help you with. Marc Shaiman does not own the performance rights to his music. Generally, organizations like The American Society Of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) and BMI administer rights to film and television music.

10. Send me .mp3s or CDs, please
Sorry, but no.

Hopefully you have read this page thoroughly for your answer. If you still have a question that hasn't been answered, please send me an e-mail and I'll try to help. Please note that any e-mail asking any of the above questions - including any questions about sheet music - will be smacked and sent to the trash.

I recommend www.google.com for internet searches.
